1. At what file size does the lab scan our images? 14mb compressed is standard but we can scan up to 40mb maximum.
2. At what resolution do I need to save my images? 300 pixels / inch.
3. How many rolls of film fit onto one CD at 14mb compressed files? Up to 6 rolls.
4. After my film is developed can I take my scanned images away to manipulate? Yes, many photographers are currently using us to scan to CD, take it away to manipulate via Adobe Photoshop and return their images to us for printing.
5. What size photos do you print? We print from 3 1/2” x 5” to 20” x 30” using Fuji Crystal Archive Lustre paper which has a lifetime of 75 years, to ensure lasting quality.
6. What is your normal turnaround time? From 24 hours to three (3) days depending on requirements. Because we cater exclusively for professional photographers, we understand that sometimes there will be an urgent need. Please communicate this to us and we will endeavour to satisfy your request.
7. What is your pricing structure? Our photographers find us extremely competitive for the quality of services and added value we provide. As each photographer has individual needs, please contact Frank personally to discuss your requirements.
8. Do I need to save my images horizontally or vertically? There is no need to orientate your images as Frontier Digital will do this for you, saving you time.
9. Can you customise my file names during scanning? Frontier Digital can give you eight (8) digits or character spacing which will appear on the back of your printed photos to customise your work, thus saving you time. Your personal coding system makes it easy for re-ordering as photo codes match file codes.
10. Do you offer FTP? We have our own server in house, which is great for security. It's easy to connect to our FTP server, just by asking us for our IP address, a unique username and password, then download an FTP software programme (free) and your'e ready to sent files over the net. We have no limits on our FTP.
